Transport Aircraft

Purchased in Spain CASA C-295M machines are most up-to-date Polish transport aircraft. These aircraft have already been proved in many missions, carried out outside the territory of Poland, including the flights to dangerous regions. The aircraft is designed to transport the troops as well as combat equipment and munitions, evacuate the wounded and participate in airborne assault missions. Its cargo bay is completely airtight. Two machines comprised the air refueling equipment. The aircraft is able to carry 9,250 kgs of supplies or 49 completely armed soldiers. Thanks to modern navigation and piloting systems the machines can fly at virtually any weather conditions, day and night in any region of the world.

M28B (CASH)
Transport Aircraft

An upgrade of An-28 passenger and cargo transport machine. The prototype was developed in the Soviet Union in the early 1970's, while the first aircraft built under Soviet license in Polish Aviation Works  in Mielec was commissioned in 1984. The "Bryza 1RM" airborne patrol and reconnaissance model was built to the order of the Polish Navy. After several years of trial flights, the aircraft entered service in the Polish Army. The Navy Airborne Brigade based in Gdynia operates eight M28B models. The design was improved: machines acquire new engines and airscrews, retractable undercarriage and enhanced special equipment. New transport M28B machines have been delivered to the Air Force - part of them are based in Kraków-Balice.

Transport Aircraft

The last operative biplane model in the world, used by the combat air troops, featuring a surprising detail - the wings and controls are covered with canvas. The prototype made its debut in 1947. Since 1960 the machine has been manufactured under Russian license by the "WSK Mielec" The aircraft is still used by the Polish air force as a transport and deployment machine, liaison airplane as well as for the purposes of training in airborne landing missions - part of them are based in Kraków-Balice.

Transport Helicopter

These machines have been flown in Polish air force units since 1968. Being typical multiple purpose machines they are used, however, by the Air and Air Defense Force in rescue missions (part of them are based in Kraków-Balice) and transport of Very Important Persons.

Auxiliary Helicopter

The most popular helicopter in the Polish Army for many years, used regularly since 1966. Series of armed models, rescue machines, training and transport variants have been developed. Today it has to be withdrawn gradually from service. It is still operated as a medical care machine in the air rescue groups - part of them are based in Kraków Balice.
